Some friendships don't require constant tending. They are rooted so deeply that distance and time simply cannot touch them. You may go years without a word, with life pulling you in different directions, across cities, across seasons. Then one day, you are back in the same room, and it is as if no time has passed at all. The laughter comes easily. The stories pick up mid-sentence. You remember exactly why this person is your friend. Since robins represent joy, it was my vision to fill the canvas with these birds as if they were old friends reuniting and catching up on life.
 
You'll notice that woven into the background of this painting are the quiet artifacts of a life: shared roots, well-worn maps, fragments of handwriting. Sometimes, connection waits patiently for the moment you find your way back to each other. And when you do, oh, what a sweet reunion!
 
 
 
About the Collection
This collection began with a simple idea: no matter who we are, we all share the same human experiences and emotions. "Under the Same Sky" explores the many ways we experience those connections… the excitement of a new friendship, the quiet comfort of being understood, the distance that stretches relationships, and the joy of finding your way back to one another. These moments are all depicted using scenes of birds mixed with collage.
