This original painting titled, "Peony Season" features a vibrant bouquet of pink peonies and greenery in an elegant vase. spring landscape with flowers along a river. This painting was inspired by a design created by New Hampshire florist Illume Floral Studio. 
 
Acrylic paints were applied with both brush and palette knife. Delicate pastel lines accentuate details of the florals and leaves. The sides of the gallery-wrapped canvas are painted gray. A gloss varnish seals the painting. Finally, I installed a picture wire on the back so it's ready to hang.
