This piece was created using acrylic paints in an impasto method, blending together thick layers of acrylic paint on the canvas to create beautiful blends of colors and rich texture. Be sure to check out the time-lapse video. Marks with inktense pencils add delicate details. The background color continues around the sides of the 12 x 12 gallery-wrapped canvas. Gloss varnish was used to seal the painting and further highlight the texture of this piece. Finally, I installed a picture wire on the back for easy hanging.
